We are Glad Mary Projects PTY Ltd. Our mission is to create a better South Africa for all. We are a 100% South African company, black-owned (51%), Female (100%) and 51% disability. The directors are Gladys Matsela Letsoisa and Marelize Hadassah Joubert. Both Directors are qualified in Business and Project Management.
“We have spent years of research and are therefore presenting the following initiative(CATH) as an answer to the current chaotic situation in the South African economy. The latest on the World Bank warning towards South Africa regarding the 14 million job losses, urged us to bring this to your door.”
We found from research and own experience that so many South African start-up business and community projects fail due to the following:
- Not enough focus on entrepreneurship skills and guidance
- People need more specific training in modern, un-tapped and lucrative industries and sectors(Niche farming).
- People lack day-to-day small-business management skills (budgets, strategic planning, marketing, etc)
- People received only theoretical training and little to none practical training
- People get left destitute after training with no ongoing mentorship or Off-Take Agreements.
- People have trouble getting start-up capital and guidance towards their own businesses
- People need work-experience for their CV’s, but jobs are scarce in SA
- Communities need successful, self-sustainable, well-managed projects to bring jobs and household income.
The above urged us to bring practical solutions to the table. Glad Mary Projects PTY Ltd. have therefore taken hands with Johan Boshoff, an expert farmer and strategist. Our joint venture spawned CATH (Commercial Agricultural Training Hub). Together we are identifying communities that can benefit from this alliance.

Bamboo-za is a Company with people that strives to promote the cultivation of Bamboo in South Africa. Rehabilitate old and new mine sites using Bamboo. Creating opportunities for communities to cultivate Bamboo as an extra income and give farmers an extra to add to their existing farm cultivars.
Bamboo-za are doing ongoing research on Bamboo and Bamboo products, so that
more people can enhance their lives and benifit from it. Bamboo-za is passionate about keeping the whole process of Bamboo in our own Country… from growing Bamboo to making products. They would like to sell their products to South Africans and export to the overseas markets.
